25 Year Old Throttle Stomping Red Head from Burswood WA, Red Hot Veronica McCann has made a welcome return to the Things with Wings, Sprintcars, only this time not with a 372 Cubic Inch Engine But A New 410 Cubic Inch Power plant complimented with a J & J Chassis, with a Awesome Red paintjob and number # 50 on the tail tank, Red Hot Roni is ready to mix it with the best.

A few setup / handling problems and having no practice laps under her belt before Grand Opening Night at the Kwinana Beach Motorplex, on 25th October 2008. RED Hot Roni never had the start she expected and her confidence took a battering not to mention her neck (Whip Lash) after a racing incident at the Motorplex on 8/11/2008. But Red Hot Roni put all that behind her as Wanless World Series Sprintcars stormed into the Perth Motorplex for 2 Rounds of the Australian Wide Sprintcar Series.

Round 2 Friday 21st November 2008 and Red Hot Roni Sets a Qualifying Time of 15.83. Starting out of Position 11 in Heat 1 and Finishing 7th at the fall of the chequered flag. Heat 4 and Starting Out of Position 12th and Finishing 12th Red Hot Roni never secured enough points to make a direct transfer to the A-Main and a B-Main starting position from 20th in a 22 car field, the going couldn’t get much tougher for Roni and with only the top 6 cars transferring from the B-Main to the A-Main, Red Hot Roni crossed the line in position 16th.

Round 3 Saturday 22nd November 2008 and another Qualifying Session and Red Hot Roni punted the #50 J & J around the 500m Kwinana Beach Circuit in a time of 14.26 Starting out of position 1 in Heat 1 only to have the front end torn out by another competitor, sending the #50 J & J towards the Concrete Wall. Heat 2 and starting out of position 2 saw Roni pull the car to the infield when the steering became extremely light, only to realise that the Panhard Rod had fallen out. B-Main and with 2 DNF's (did not finish) Red Hot Roni had to start out of position 19th when the chequered flag fell some 15 laps later, Roni had made her way to finish in 10th position. To which concluded her 2 nights of racing against Australia’s Best for Rounds 2 & 3 of World Series Sprintcars.

Red Hot Roni still currently holds the 10 Laps track record for sprintcars at the Perth Motorplex when she campaigned a 372ci Engine back on the 23/11/2002 with a time of 2.13.50 An Amazing Effort to still be record holder some 8 years later and no one else has managed to crack it.
